Your wildlife exclusion fence experts.
Keeping habitats connected, wildlife protected and people safe since 2005.
Animex® Wildlife Exclusion Fencing was developed in 2005 out of our passion for safeguarding wildlife while meeting the environmental needs of our growing industries. The only purpose-built wildlife fencing products for reptiles, amphibians and small mammals. Animex wildlife exclusion fencing (WEF) is specifically designed to control animal movement and exclude wildlife from unwanted areas such as roads and construction sites.
The unique features of our environmentally friendly eco-fencing products have enabled contractors, engineers, project managers, farmers and biologists to implement effective wildlife control measures on extensive projects.

Improving Wildlife Fencing on Roads
The United States of America alone has over 3.9 million miles of road.
The exact amount of wildlife fencing installed on these roads is unknown, but science has shown that fences can help to significantly reduce wildlife-vehicle collisions and help keep habitats connected when combined with wildlife crossing structures. Although standard DOT fencing designs and materials are effective at controlling the movement of large mammals, they do not provide adequate exclusion for smaller animals, such as reptiles, amphibians, and small mammals.
After observing animal behaviour from across the world as part of various scientific studies, we have learned that solid barriers are proven to be highly effective for excluding a wide range of animals from dangerous areas and reducing negative interaction with fences (e.g. climbing, digging, entanglement and pacing).
This observed behavior is believed to be due to the sensory barrier the solid material provides. As animals can no longer see through the fence, they are discouraged from lingering and interacting with it, naturally moving along the fence towards safe crossing structures or away into adjacent habitats.
We have prepared a unique set of specifications and guidelines to show how Animex’s most popular wildlife exclusion fencing products can be attached to the standard DOT woven wire fencing for large mammals to improve protection for people and wildlife.
The same barriers can also be attached to any roadside barrier, such as chain-link, livestock, or guardrail, to achieve the same effect.
