Animex permanent wildlife exclusion fencing is made from 2mm thick steel barrier panels, 2.4m in length, supplied in 850mm or 1200mm heights. When installed, the fence shall provide an above-ground height of approximately 500mm (850mm panel) or 850mm (1200mm panel).
The Animex barrier shall provide a solid, non-climb surface and incorporate a factory-formed folded anti-climb lip consisting of a 100mm primary fold and an additional 50mm secondary fold from the top edge to deter climbing.
Installation shall include burial of 200mm below finished ground level with an integrated 100mm horizontal anti-dig lip to prevent burrowing beneath the fence line.
Panels shall be securely fixed to permanent timber or galvanised steel posts using corrosion-resistant fixings at specified centres, with all joints overlapped to eliminate gaps.
The system is typically specified for projects with a design life of up to 25 years and has an expected service life of up to 50 years, subject to site conditions and maintenance.
