Free-standing wildlife fencing
This is the most common installation method due to its effectiveness in deterring burrowing animals and its added stability. It is suitable for all terrains and requires a small amount of excavation. The temporary options are commonly used for seasonal construction or monitoring projects. The permanent installation methods are commonly used in high disturbance and heavy snow load areas to ensure the fence stays in place for an extended period of time.
In areas where a below-ground installation may not be possible, such as on rocky ground, an above-ground installation can be used instead. This method requires backfill to seal in the fence with the ground leaving no gaps.

Attached to an existing fence
You can optimize existing perimeter fencing by attaching Animex to the lower section to exclude or direct any smaller animals including mammals, reptiles, amphibians and flightless birds. It is simply attached to any commonly-used fencing materials and can be adapted to suit any project's needs.
The guides below include several of the common types of fencing Animex is attached to. However, the same principles can be applied to most types of fencing. If you are in doubt, please just ask.
